Your Local Mississauga SEO Company

Today we have gone up… hmm let me see! 800,000 GLOBAL Positions according to www.alexa.com! It is unbelievable to know that organic SEO is so very powerful in Search Engine Optimization Land. Nonetheless, we are still looking at two very different things… which brings me too our topic of today.

Ranking high on a global scale is definitely one of the many benefits in search engine optimization. BUT! The real kicker is ranking high for a set of keywords or phrases. So, to quickly introduce you, there are two types of rankings that should be in your mind. Firstly, ranking on a global scale, and ranking well over all. Secondly, ranking well for your specified keywords or phrases relative to the services or products you provide.

For example, SEO services within the Mississauga region can be our primary target for today. So, therefore we must rank high over all, and then rank high for the search term…. “seo Mississauga”. Now that we have identified the keywords and phrase we are going to target, we must choose the methods in which we can pursue!

So I have taken the liberty and searched in Google Adwords for the term “seo Mississauga”. According to Google’s calculations, there are 390 Global Monthly Searches and 260 Local Monthly Searches for this phrase. Basically what that is saying is, there is no reason to really go ALL OUT for that search term. Now, on the other hand, if we were to look at the keyword “seo”, we would see that Google says there are 7,480,000 Global Monthly Searches. This translates to, it is much more likely that NaturalClick will see the light of day with SEO Mississauga quicker then it will pop up first for “seo”.

I hope this article sheds some light on the fact that keyword choice is CRUCIAL to short and long term success. Knowing your competition and audience is KEY when addressing your needs and wants while setting your SEO Project Plan together.

Thank you, and all the best from your local Mississauga SEO Company!

Starting SEO the Organic Way

Organic Search Engine Optimization, also known as Natural Search is the other most effective SEO method towards ranking higher on the web! Due to the fact that website popularity comes from getting known on the web, Organic SEO encompasses everything from Social Book Marking, to Social Media Networking, and Directory Submissions!

In this article, we will examine what the main factors of Organic SEO are, how effective they can be when utilized properly, AND how to get started! There is nothing better than starting up a business, and having the knowledge to gain.

In the beginning it appears difficult and frustrating. Essentially, knowing that you have to spread your website and its information across THOUSANDS of sites can bring you down. On the contrary, simplicity, patience, and persistence will win this battle sooner than you think.

Organic, or Natural Search Engine Optimization begins with looking at any form of website optimizing that does NOT involve paying search engines, other websites, directories, or blogs. Basically, if there is no SEO company working on your organic search engine optimization, you should not be spending any money. Our recommendation is that any small business starting up should not seek any paid method of advertising unless there is a comfortable available budget for online marketing. Why is this? Well, in the beginning, it is always best to start small, and build your way up!

Through progressively creating, adjusting, and monitoring these Organic methods, success will follow!

- Social Media Networking (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc…)

- Directory Submission

- Blogging

- Article Submission

- Press Release

- Content Building

- Link Building

- and more!

Social Media Networking

Understanding the power of Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn is only half of the battle. Currently, Facebook is ranked 2nd, Twitter is ranked 9th, and LinkedIn is ranked17th in the world. What does this have to do with you? Well, if you properly utilize these three social media sites, website popularity for your business or company will come.

First on the list is setting up the account. By setting up an account, you can put up logos, pictures, videos, and much more on your profile. In addition to this, if you link your Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn accounts on your website, it is easier for viewers/potential clients to view your web pages which can lead to conversions. In the eyes of a potential buyer of your product or services, branding and website popularity is very important. Getting the person to your website, and then selling is hardest part. This is why having simple profiles set up on social media sites will help to build your online profile. You can also think of it like this…the larger and more professional your online resume is, the more likely you are to receiving impressions–>clicks–>views–>conversions.

Directory Submission

Submitting your website to directories also plays an important role in your Organic SEO strategies. Being able to spread your URL and biography across thousands of free directories is a great privilege! The only downside to doing this is you will not see these link backs immediately unless you are willing to pay. Some directories offer Paid One-Way Links, with free Reciprocal links. Where as other directories offer free One-Way-Links, with paid Reciprocal links. In addition to this, free One-Way-Links usually take 2-3 months of review before they will link your webpage.

Having said all of this, it is still worth your while. Search Engines such as Google, Yahoo, and Bing are changing their algorithms evermore quickly, so having progressive links to your site over time is a good thing!

Blogging

Blogging is always an important part for site awareness, just like being outside, you are able to interact and communicate with other people that you have never met. This same concept translates into the web, and having individuals commenting, questioning, or remarking on your thoughts and ideas. Blogs such as Squidoo, Tumblr, and Bloggerspot offer excellent rewards for activity on their site. In addition to this, the writers of these blog posts get to learn more about what they do or write on.

Setting up blogs is very simple and clean. Our suggestion is to fill out your profile as much as you possibly can with pictures, videos, biographies, and anything else that comes to mind! As long as it is profanity free, you will never have any issues with blog admins or other fellow bloggers.

A last point to make about Blogs is that it allows you to write what ever you wish, whether it be educational or for marketing purposes. Having that extra option to express your knowledge or expertise about a certain subject(s) is only beneficial in the world of gaining website popularity.

Article Submission

Submitting articles is very similar to posting on blogs. One main difference is that articles are more formally developed then blog posts. For instance, you can post on your blog that you are having a bad day. In an article situation, you are trying to demonstrate and express your knowledge and expertise out to the public in hopes of getting mass recognition which would then lead to more traffic on your site. Article Submission sites, or press release sites, help put your information out to the mass public looking to read about a certain topic.

For example, if somebody is interested in how to remove a virus from their computer, the benefit of a computer store writing an article on how to fix your computer from viruses would be beneficial. The mere psychology behind helping others out of good-will, and giving free information to the public can only benefit you. In addition to this, the search engines also will give ranking credentials to sites that expand their horizons across article and press release sites such as Ezinearticle or Goarticle.

Press Release

Press Releases are a little more formal in the sense that you will want to utilize press releases for important news and events. For small business owners, press releases can benefit through releasing a new location, a new event, sponsorship, affiliate, and much more. An example of this could be if you own a sports store and you sponsor a little league baseball team. If the little league baseball team wins a tournament or competition, you could press release that it was with the help of your sponsorship that they were able to achieve such success. Of course you don’t want to take all of the credit, but there is nothing wrong with taking a little recognition for your hard work and kind heart.

Content Building

One of the most important ways to increase your organic or natural rankings is by creating content every week. By writing about your business or services, search engines will pick up on the activity on your website while giving you credit for mentioning your keywords or phrases in different context. Although this sounds like you can just keep repeating the same word over and over again, the search engines are smarter than that. When creating content, it MUST be YOUR OWN, and not DUPLICATE from another competitors site or blog. If you’re thinking about playing with this fire, you should be careful because the search engines are very intricate, and are more than capable of spotting duplicated content that is not your own.

By being able to pick up when and where the content is put on, the search engines will know if a year later you duplicate another sites content, so avoid doing this at all costs. If you are lazy or don’t feel like writing content, contact an SEO business or professional content writer.

A last point that is needed to say on this topic is that content should be structured so whatever the main subject is that your topic about, gets properly placed and mentioned. For example, if somebody was to write about SEO, you would want to avoid mentioning it at the bottom of the paragraph or story. Instead, try starting off with the sentence: In Search Engine Optimization….

Link Building

Link building naturally is also a very key factor in organic SEO. In order to build links, you must conjure up a letter targeted at webmasters of websites that are relevant or complimentary to your business. Moreover, adding a “links” or “resources” page to your website will also help to have a back-end page in which you can list the sites that you are link exchanging with. Essentially, the more deep links, the more website popularity. Deep links are the most important and effective when trying to achieve rankings on the search engines due to the fact that another site is fully recognizing the existence of your site. This is much more effective than the simple, “oh yeah, www.naturalclick.ca” is a good site. Having a properly header referenced link of your partners site will be recognized more quickly by the search engines, and you will receive much more credit than just a two second mention.

Hope all of this helps, Happy Organic SEO building!

Getting Started with SEO for Small Business Owners

Getting Started…

There are many key factors to look at when starting your business with a website at hand. Moreover, there is a time and a place to start for everyone. For example, if your business is small, such as a snow shovelling company, you may not exactly need a website in the beginning.

Why is this?

Well, due to the fact that you most likely do not have a budget for website creation and maintenance OR SEO/Internet Marketing; waiting until you get marketing dollars in the door may be more for you. (This is assuming your uncles and aunts aren’t the cutting-edge SEO masters of Google and the major search engines!)

Firstly, choosing a TOPIC and TARGET AUDIENCE is key once you know that online marketing is a proper investment for your business. If you’re not sure if SEO is for you, try following these guidelines by asking yourself:

- Do I have a proper budget for website creation, design, and maintenance? ($500+)
- Do I have a proper budget for SEO and Internet Marketing in general? ($300+/month)

If you are in this fortunate situation, then the following advice will help you get off the ground looking for a good SEO company.

It is ALWAYS important to know what type of COMPETITION you will have going into the online world. Not sure how to find your competition? Well, try visiting google.ca and searching keywords or phrases relevant to your business. For example, if you own a barbershop in Toronto, try searching “barbershop Toronto”. As you will notice, there are many sponsored links and local map listings of barbershops in Toronto as well as the GTA. This means that you will have to execute a more aggressive Organic SEO plan, unless you have the money to invest in a Pay-Per-Click SEO plan.

An Organic SEO plan includes any form of internet marketing that does not include paying Google or any site for instant sponsored links and rankings. This encompasses:

- directory submissions
- press releases
- article creations
- social bookmarking
- blog creation
- coding implementation such as meta data and header references
- and more!

A Pay-Per-Click SEO plan includes any form of internet marketing that DOES include paying the outlet such as social media giant Facebook, or search engine colossal Google. Pay-Per-Click is managed through creating a campaign and purchasing keywords or phrases relative to your business. For example, if you are selling shoes, you might purchase the keywords or phrases “high-heels”, or “training shoes”.
Once you have identified your competition and your SEO strategies, look to set a budget and goals which carry a sense of realism and optimism. What does this mean?

Well, of course it is not possible for your website to rank number one against its developed competition’s websites. Firstly, your website MUST be at least 6 months old before major search engines begin giving full recognition and website popularity to your site. This means that only Pay-Per-Click can be immediately effective within the first 6 months of your websites existence.

Therefore, setting a low-budget for SEO of around $300-500/month depending on your financial situation is key. If you allot $1000/month SEO service fees and then blow your budget within 4 months for your marketing and the SEO company did a poor job, your business will suffer greatly. Creating a low-budget in the beginning adds a safety net in case your business does not increase from SEO service due to poor work by the Internet Marketing company.

Now that budget is understood, goals must also be taken seriously. Goals for SEO are always ever-changing and will always fluctuate depending on the effectiveness and efficiency of the SEO company. For example, some SEO companies tend to outsource their work, in which it does not get done until the end of the week. Although the work gets done for cheaper, keep in mind that major search engines are always looking for gradual PROGRESS. It is very evident to Google, Yahoo, and Bing that when a website suddenly submits itself to thousands or hundreds of directories, blogs, article submitters, and press release sites; that it is not the company itself doing this, it is an outsourced team. Moreover, Google will also begin to suspect that your a victim of BLACK HAT SEO.

SO… Set optimistic goals, but keep in mind that results may not show until months later. Why is this? Well the search engines do crawl your site at random times, as well as one-way link directories sometimes take 2-3months to process applications/submissions. How does this impact your website rankings?

Link-building is a strong factor in Organic Search Engine Optimization, which can provide excellent results when attempting to increase your rankings. If there are 20 website links in a 2-3 month process phase, and you only have 1 month of SEO service on your site, of course you will say something along the lines of “O, that SEO company was terrible, they didn’t even get me any links when they said they would submit my site to over 300 directories”. GIVE THINGS A CHANCE TO BOIL.

On the contrary, to sum up this article, it is very possible that your website can increase rankings by the MILLIONS in DAYS. NaturalClick’s website:http://www.naturalclick.ca is a perfect example of this!
Within TWO DAYS, we had our site jump from 8.6millionth global position to 7.6millionth position. This was from little work in the two days as well! So keep your heads high, and good luck!
